The Most Important Thing I by ~papaw:iconpapaw:

The sun shines bright through the closed blinds of the window. There are funny-looking shadows on the walls that are being cast by the trees through the closed blinds. The clock to your right flashes twelve o' clock in bright red block numbers. You can’t tell if it’s AM or PM.

Twelve o' clock, twelve o' clock, twelve o' clock.

The power must've gone out halfway through the night—or maybe just a few minutes or a few seconds ago.

It doesn't really matter when it happened, but what does matter is that it did happen. You sigh and hit the clock with your hand balled into a fist.

Twelve o' clock, twelve o' clock, twelve—nothing.

You get up and search the floor for clothes that you could wear that would pass off as something clean. What time was it? Are you late? Early? The most important thing to you is first impressions and for all you know you could be two hours late to your job interview.

The most important thing to me is ____

This was done with a prompt from my English class. I was thinking that I didn't want to write something in my point of view. I detest writing that way for school. And thanks to my teacher, she doesn't mind at all what way I do it, as long as it's there.

So instead I made it in second person.

I also didn't want to just jump into the prompt either. It would make it sound like this was something I wanted to get over with.

I doubt anybody noticed or anything but I left out the turtle. My bad.

That was pretty cool, and really original. Most people would have just did a paper explaining it, but you at least made it interesting. I salute you! With my RIGHT hand. Gasp. <3

Yay! Thanks. I salute you back, with my RIGHT hand too. And not my left. Because, Temari, that's improper. :3
